Not able to load data from any data source

I get this error every time I try to load data from any data source (e.g. SQL Server, excel, txt etc.)

Hi MohamedN,

 

It looks like an issue about the provider. Please try to uninstall and reinstall PowerBI desktop to check if the issue still persists.

    Thanks for your input! I already tried that. I am wondering if this is an issue with the latest update.

      Hi MohamedN,

       

      Which version of PBI do you use? I have tested in Version: 2.39.4526.362 64-bit (September 2016) and didn't get this error prompt.
