No "Get Data" on Excel 2016 DATA tab
Hi
I had a problem whicle teaching Power BI today.
I've only started using Power BI in the last 18 months and always used Excel 2016 (with or without Office 365), and used "GET DATA". I was aware that the 2010/2013 interface is differen.
Today, a student's laptop had 2016 on it but the Power BI interface looked more like 2013:
I coudn't get data from a folder in the manner I'm sed to.
I had a look at the available commands under "Ribbon Otion" but there was no simple"Get Data" option
I am confused! could anyone explain?
Thanks!!
Hi Anonymous
I have Excel 2016 (with or without Office 365), i also have the same screenshots as you provide.
I have no option "Get data" on the Ribbon under "Data".
If you want to connect to a folder, you could take this way:
When you download Power BI Desktop, you could see "Get Data".
