In fact, that is a sample scenario about how to get the root path of the shared file. (it does not mean to move your file to onedrive)
If you use excel connector with file URL(root path of excel file that stored in google sheet), it can be refresh automatic after you update its credentials.Google spreadsheet integration

I'd like to suggest you use 'File.Contents' to get data from the root path of shared network file link:

For analysis word document in power bi, you can take a look t following links:

Notice: file connector does not work for URL which contains redirection or other authorizations.

the export?format=xlsx&id= doesnt work anymore?
in my case, the google docs (which is statistical based) is shared among my team & if it is saved in OneDrive, though shareable , but it will not be updated?
Is there any ways?

ok, i got it.
i would need to publish the google sheet in order to connect.
