AFAIK you're talking about key-based SSH login on your server. However so far Power BI doesn't support SSH.

At this moment, the only approach can be exporting the data from your MySQL as a csv files, and transfering the files to somewhere Power Bi can access.

We will report this internally and our engineers will evaluate it. Meanwhile you can vote for the idea MySQL over SSH connection.

    I am trying to connect to MySQL hosted on a different server with SSH enabled.

     

    I get the following error in PowerBI:

     



     

    Is this because SSH is not supported?
