Multi parent hierarchy - Handle Wrike timelogs

HI, i am trying to handle time logs data (through Wrike api). So far I’ve made all the appropriate connections and I am able to get data of:

  • Timelogs (Timelog ID, Task ID, User ID, Timelog Hours, Created date,..)
  • Tasks (Task ID, Task Title, Folder ID, Subtask ID,…)
  • Folders (Folder ID, Folder Title, Parent Folder ID, …)

On the other hand, I am generating through another software a list of unique Folder IDs (projects) and my goal is to identify the total hours from the timelogs that exist in all tasks, subtasks and subfolders of those unique Folder IDs (projects).

Eg.

Folder ID to Track total hours submitted on timelogs

[anything tha exists in this and below this level]

  • Task A (timelogs)
  • Task B (timelogs)
    • Subtask A (timelogs)
    • Subtask B (timelogs)

  • Subfolder A
    • Task C (timelogs)
    • Task D (timelogs)
      • Subtask A (timelogs)
      • Subtask B (timelogs)

  • Subfolder B
    • Task E (timelogs)
    • Task F (timelogs)
      • Subtask C (timelogs)
      • Subtask D (timelogs)

Multi parent may occur for tasks and folders also.

Currently, I’ve spent much effort and time (as not being an experienced user) upon my need of handling multi parent hierarchy (this is my current approach). For the moment im on a dead end so I really need your advice and guidance on how could this be feasible in power bi.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort over this.

    Hi jp_,

For parent-child hierarchy, you can refer to the following blog to know more about this:

    Parent-Child Hierarchies

In addition, you can't create hierarchy across multiple tables, you need to reference another table field value to current table first.
