Missing Insert ribbon
I have power bi desktop ver 2.99.862.0
I only have the following 3 options on my ribbon " File Home Help". How do I get the insert option?

Anonymous never seen this, did you download or installed it from the Microsoft store.

i tried going to "file" , "options and settings" , "options", Preview features" but I do not see the "updated ribbon" option.

I was on the model view instead of the report view.

Anonymous aha! that makes sense. Power BI is notorious when you are on different views, I hope soon we will have consistency regardless of what views we are at. cheers!!

Go to the Report View. The insert option will come out.
This is because the insert option is normally used to insert visuals and other elements.
