matrix visual

I have a matrix visual. In value fields I have measures and columns coming from seperate tables joined on date field. I want to add a additional column header to measures and columns value field. As in below table I want the header Product KPI's and Performance for measures and columns respectively.

    To add additional column headers to the matrix visual in Power BI, you can use a combination of calculated columns and measures. Here's how you can achieve the desired result:

    1. Create Calculated Columns:

      • In your data model, create two calculated columns for the two additional column headers you want to add, namely "Product KPI's" and "Performance." These calculated columns should contain the respective text values.

    For "Product KPI's" column:

    Product KPI's = "Product KPI's"

     

     

    For "Performance" column:

    Performance = "Performance"

     

    1. Create a Matrix Visual:

      • Add a matrix visual to your report.
      • In the "Fields" pane, add the following fields:
        • Rows: Month (from your date field)
        • Columns: Product KPI's, Performance, and the measures you want to display (e.g., Sales, Revenue, Dollar value, Cost, Tickets Open, Ticket closed, Ticket Balanced).

    2. Format Column Headers:

      • In the matrix visual, you'll see the columns "Product KPI's" and "Performance" as column headers. However, they might initially appear empty or contain a sum or count aggregation.
      • To format these columns properly, click on the matrix visual to select it.
      • In the "Visualizations" pane, go to the "Format" section.
      • Expand the "Column headers" section.
      • Turn off "Auto-size column widths" to manually adjust column widths.
      • You can also adjust the text alignment, font size, and other formatting options to make the headers look the way you want.

    3. Adjust Measure Formatting:

      • For the measures (Sales, Revenue, etc.) that you added to the columns, you may want to format them as needed, such as changing the number format or applying conditional formatting.

    By following these steps, you should be able to add custom column headers ("Product KPI's" and "Performance") to your matrix visual in Power BI, and you can format them and the measure columns to achieve the desired layout.

    Hi,

     

    Thanks for your reply. But I guess it is not working in my case. Let me refine the question

    Measures: Sales, Revenue, Dollar value, Cost calculated on tables on power BI Dataset

    Columns: Tickets Open, Ticket closed, Ticket Balanced coming from snowflake view

    all the tables in power bi dataset joined on date column and snowflake view also joined on date field
     Now when I created a matrix visual I added date month in rows field above measures and columns in value field and my column field is empty. 
    currently I can see like this :
