I have a sort on a date column in a matrix visual but after I publish the report, the users don;t see any sort at all, any ideas what the issue might be
You may need to ask your users to first reset data view in Service.

In Desktop, your matrix may appear sorted, but after publishing, users see default behavior if the sort isn’t explicitly defined. The fix is to use “Sort by Column” in the data model (e.g., sort your date field by a proper numeric/date column) or ensure the visual sort is saved before publishing. Also check that users aren’t interacting/resetting the sort in Service, as matrix visuals can revert if sorting isn’t structurally enforced.
RnavalI did ensure the visual sort is set before publishing and I did the sort by column in the data model but still no luck.
