Matrix Visual Hierarchy Level Problem

Especially with the number of reports and pages you’re managing. In Power BI, visuals do not automatically get “repaired” after updates because each visual maintains its own internal state and configuration. When a change or inconsistency like this happens, it unfortunately does not get retroactively applied to existing visuals which is why newly created Matrix visuals behave correctly while older ones don’t.

Now, there isn’t a built-in way to bulk fix or automatically update all affected visuals across reports. Recreating or replacing the Matrix visual is still the most reliable approach. To reduce effort, you might consider updating only the most frequently used reports first and reusing a corrected Matrix visual (copy-paste) across pages where possible, rather than rebuilding each one from scratch.
