Matrix visual - Sort direction different between columns

Using the matrix visual. When I select a column, the matrix is sorted by that column as would be expected.

However columns are sorted differently depending on the data type. By default text column sort in ascending order and nummeric columns sort in descening order.

I would like to have all columns to initially sort in ascending order when clicked. Is there any way to change the default sort direction for columns within Power BI Desktop?

    Hi MAVIE ,

As far as I know, this is by design in Power BI. I think you can sort the visual by desc/asce based on single column in Power BI.

If you want to sort the visual based on multiple columns, I think Power BI doesn't support it currently.

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently.
You can vote up this idea for this function:Matrix visual with asc and desc sorting on every column
Or you can submit a new idea to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
