Map bubble inconsistency

A map shows/hides bubbles depending on whether or not there is a variable in the bubble size. For example, the map on the right has only the address (column name: custom) in Location, while the map on the right also has a bubble size. As can be seen, some bubbles are only on the left, while others are only on the right. Why is that?

The map does not show this discrepancy if a small number (for example, 5000) of rows is used.

The dataset is attached.

Thanks,

DK

  • Like all visuals, the map visual has a limit on the number of data points it will render. And yes, that limit is 5000. If you have more data points the Power BI will randomly select which ones to render and which ones to drop. Has nothing to do with the bubble size variable.
