Map and Filled Map Visuals aren't enabled for you Org
Hello all,
I recently installed Power BI Desktop on my laptop and I'm receiving the error "Map and Filled Map Visuals aren't enabled for your Org" when I try to create a map. I have the Map and Filled Map Visual box checked inside of Options/Security, so it must be something else that I'm missing. Any ideas?

XP950 Check with your Power BI Admin and see if maps are disabled at the tenant level?
Greg_Deckler Hey Greg, I'm not sure how to access the tenant settings since I just have the desktop version, don't you need the full version for that? Also, I just found that the maps work off and on. They started working for me an hour ago and now I'm getting the same error when I try to create them again. Very strange!

XP950 Ah, that is odd. Yeah, the tenant settings are in the Power BI Service. You could check the Issues forum here:
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
And if it is not there, then you could post it.
If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
