Linked workbooks in Sharepoint

I work for a business that has been using PBI for a few years now and have a large suite of reports that are linked in some of them to workbooks within Sharepoint.

Is there a report or similar that would allow us to show all the PBI reports that are linked to Sharepoint and the name/location of the files in Sharepoint? Something that could be run as a team or maybe by each individual to locate their links?

Thanks in advance.

  • The easiest non-code method is at the workspace level, by looking at the lineage view in the browser. Alternately all the datasource info is available at the tenant level in the PBI admin API, and it's totally worth getting, but it requires someone who knows what they're doing with getting data from APIs and storing them in a database to set that up.

  • Hey Mr_Mr

If you are the Admin, you can run the Scanner API and find the result or you can check the connection section on Power BI

Hi and thanks for the reply.

When you say check the Connection section would that be on each report?

Ideally looking for something that looks at all PBI reports and shows any workbooks / sharepoint links that exist for each.
