Link PDF from shared network path
Hi -
Is it possible to link PDF that is on shared network path something like this "file://101.23.101.19/TestPDF".
When user click on link, PDF should be either displayed or downloaded.

We now support new link types in the original and preview table and matrix:
- mailto
- News
- Telnet
- FTP
- File
If you want to use file URLs, there are some limitations. They will not open in the Power BI Desktop, only in web browsers. For most browsers, you will need to right click on the link, copy the link address, and paste the URL in a new tab.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

msft-cap , Try that as url option.

In past, I found that it checks for HTTP in URL. But you can try

We started using sharepoint link instead. I will try this solution not right now though. But meanwhile, I will mark this solution as resolved to help others find this response.
