Key Influencers "Learn more about this segment" button missing
I am a newbie at using the Key Influencer visual and I would like to access the information behind 'Learn more about this segment' on the 'Top segments' tab. It appears in all of the online example / demos I've seen but it's not visible in my Power BI Desktop (Version: 2.147.1085.0 64-bit (September 2025)).
I have a free license and I'm using the same customer feedback dataset that's used for a lot of online examples. My Key Influencer is showing the same as the online examples that use this dataset. I select 'Top segments' and click on any of the statistical significance bubbles. The segment composition and statistical breakdowns appear in the left and right hand panes respectively as expected, but no button.
I'm using the standard theme and all other text is visible, so it's not displayed 'white on white' and is therefore invisible.
Does anybody know why this is, whether I can get it on a free license and if so, how do I do so?

The absence of the "Learn more about this segment" button is not due to weak data patterns in your dataset. According to a recent update from the Power BI community, this feature has been removed in newer versions of Power BI Desktop as mentioned by Kedar_Pande.Specifically, the feature was removed in the September 2025 release.Therefore, regardless of your dataset's characteristics, this button will no longer appear in your version of Power BI Desktop.

That “Learn more about this segment” button in the Key Influencers visual only appears when Power BI finds a strong enough data pattern to explain that segment in more detail. It’s not related to your license ,even the free version of Power BI Desktop supports it.
If your data doesn’t have enough variation or clear influencing factors, the model simply won’t generate that extra explanation, so the button stays hidden. This often happens when:

Your dataset is too small or filtered down,
-
The fields you used in “Explain by” don’t vary much between categories, or
-
There’s no statistically significant segment to analyze further.
Try using a slightly larger dataset (like the built-in Retail Analysis sample) or add more varied fields to your Explain by section. Once Power BI detects meaningful differences, that “Learn more about this segment” button will automatically appear under Top Segments , no license upgrade or theme change needed.

You’re not doing anything wrong.
It’s not a licensing issue.
The feature was removed in newer Power BI versions

Hi v-venuppu . Thanks for the responses Kedar_Pande and rohit1991 . I just need the difference of opinion resolving please. Has the feature been removed or is the button's absence caused by weak data patterns in my dataset? In other circumstances I'd just try it and work it out for myself, but if the definitive answer's that it's gone I could waste a lot of time trying. Thanks again.
