Joining 2 XY datapoints - method not working
Hello,
I am trying to connect 2 XY data points ith a line. I have found this blog Advanced Sport Visualisations in Power BI - Microsoft Fabric Community and it appears to show exactly what I am looking to do.
This is an example of the data table I create when following the above method:
However, when following the steps suggested to create a lin chart, I cannot create the line chart where there are only (in the example above) 2 colours available for each line.
I need to drag my 'Index' column or unique identifier column into the legend to create lines that are connected through two points, and as a result I create this chart:
I really would like the chart to resemble the one in the blog article, where a pass is either 'successful' i.e. green, or unsuccessful i.e. red.
Does anyone have any suggestions or insight into what I could do or am likely doing wrong?

An interesting puzzle, I think the answer is they are using a custom visual that allows this.
You could use Small Multiples to achieve this result:
Alternatively you can set each lines colour manually:
It feels strange but with the current data I can't see how you would get it to work!

SamWiseOwl thanks for the solution. It does seem weird that this not a basic function within power bi.
The 'problem' I will have with this soluton is that there will be instances where i have more lines than those i create a template report from; and therefore, each time more data comes in I will need to manually adjust the line colours.
