Issue with filtering through visuals when using custom column in field parameter

I'm having an issue where I have multiple bar charts, with the exact same field as x axis, and a field parameter as Y axis.  Issue is when I click on a X-axis category to filter, I get an error. But...

Anonymous by chance did you create a table to support this visual?  First...that's very bad form.  But if you did, it sounds like there isn't a relationship between whatever is on the X axis and that table.

    littlemojopuppy  Thanks for the reply, 

    I used the create field parameters function or whatever you call it, which automatically makes a sort of table. 

     

    But like I mentioned filtering through slicers works, just not through the bar on a visual.

    So I'm not enitrely sure that relationship is the issue?

    When using the parameters without the extra column in the visual, filtering through clicking on bar chart works.
