Inserted date is loading wrong from sharepoint list to powerbi

I have a sharepoint list that stores input from a powerapps application. One of the fields collected is a date input, which in sharepoint list is correlating with the input from powerapps. When this data is handled in powerbi, the date is wrong by -1 day.

I've reviewed the timezone of both the sharepoint site and the locale in powerbi, and adjusting this is of no use. It is only date that is recorded, not time. Any suggestions?

Is it in UTC maybe? It's pretty typical for dates to be stored in UTC on the back end and then converted according to the current user timezone on the front end.
