inner join

I have two table that I want to innerjoin on the same column. I tried doing the merge query command and matched the two columns in the query editor, but that just gave me an extra column with a table...
Need Help

    Hi sewo

     

    What you have done is right, need to do bit more.

     

    Merging two tables in Power query is right, you got the extra field with Table as value. If you look at the field name, it will be Table2 ( ur 2nd table name). Next to this name, there will be a expand symbol, click on that and select the needed columns . If you dont need any columns from 2nd table& just need the subset of Table 1 with matching ecord, just delete the new column. What you see now is the subset of Table1 with matching records with Table2.
