Incremental refresh - refresh archived data?
Hi,
I'm trying out incremental refresh to reduce records to be refreshed daily since theres a lot as of now.
Here's my wondering: for archived data, in case someone needs to update really old data and still need it to show up then how do I refresh it or get it updated?
Thanks!
Hi binslync28, You can temporarily adjust the RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters to include the period of the archived data you need to update. This way, the old data will be refreshed during the next scheduled refresh
Hope this helps!!
If this solved your problem, please accept it as a solution!!

Shahariar HafizWhen using incremental refresh in Power BI, archived data isn't refreshed regularly. However, if you need to update old data, you can do one of the following:
- Extend the refresh period temporarily by adjusting the range in the incremental refresh policy to include older data.
- Manually refresh specific partitions by adjusting the filter on the query to include the required old data and triggering a refresh.
This way, you can keep incremental refresh efficient but still handle updates when needed.
