Increase data point limit

Hi everyone,

I see many threads where users asked for explanations regarding the error of data point limits.

Most of proposed solutions suggest for data reduction strategies, that is limiting the number of categories by grouping or creating bins.

But this solution is not suitable for my use cases: I'm working for a head-quarter company and we are managing a lot of brands, and we need stacked column chart to show all of them.

However, due to this limitation I can't create any effective visuals.

Can someone tell me please how can I increase the following limit maybe by customizing native stacked column chart visual?

Please, if possible I need a guide step by step.

Thank you!

Luca

  • Wow. Do you really want to show over 500 brands on single bar chart? It won't give any information. Why woudn't you use more suitable chart like scatter plot?

I simplified the use case, it's a combination of brand and country and I need the x axis plotting the time ... anyway, as I wrote in the post, I've already deeply thought some data reduction strategies and some work around ... I came up with some solutions but anyway categories still are over then 60 limit.

I really need some custom visuals that go over this limit.

      Thank you

    Hi planc7 ,

Maybe you can add /Stacked Column Chart by Akvelon/ visual by clicking /Get More Visuals/.

I can display over 500 category records using this visual.

      Yes, you're right!

But with this graph there isn't even the possibility to sort x axis ...

Do you know how maybe can I change the code of original visualization in order to increase category limit?

      It's very frustrating.

      Thank you
