Include future date in a line chart
I have two tables that I have joined on the date column. One with call volumes and one with our forecast until dec 2020. I add them both to a line chart but the date axis is stopping at today. I want it to continue until dec 2020 so we can see our forecast and how the actual numbers match. How do I fix that?
Do you have a DATE table to link them? You should use a DATE table and plot the date from the DATE table as the Axis for the chart. Just make sure your DATE table has values for the future and you should see them in the chart if there are also matching values in the forecast table.

I don't have a seperate date table since it is only these two tables so I thought it wasn't neccessary. I am using the date column from the forecast which include, both all past and future dates. AllisonKennedy
*EDIT* Even if im only using date and amount from my forecast table I still don't have any future dates.

As soon as you start working with dates you should have a date table. It enables you to plot dates properly because every day is plotted, whereas in your data you might have each date a few times and some dates not at all.
