Include author in titel
Hi,
The visiual to the left shows top ten book loans for a month. I would also ilke to show the auther of the book among the titel but if I add "author" it completely change the look fo the visual. How would you add "athor" so its shown with the book titel?
Johan-MTM No worries. You nailed it with my first suggestion!
Regarding the second one, just go to "Transform Data" select the Title and Author columns (pressing CTRL while clicking on their header), then on Add Column search for Merge Columns and use a separator of your choice. This will create a new column with the Title and Author that you can use in the visual axis.

Hello Johan-MTM I will provide you 2 options of how I would do it:
1. Add Author to the tooltip of the visual (it will show up if you put your mouse on top of the title)
2. Create a new column in Power Query Editor that is a merge between the Title and the Author and use it in the visual Axis

JorgePinho Great stuff - thank you!
However, is it possible to have author below the titel instead of the same line/row as you se in my image above? If the titel is long the author isnt shown, would be much better if they can be on different line?

I'm glad it helped 🙂 Don't forget to mark it as a solution!
Regarding the question of having the author below the title, I don't think that is possible unfortunately...
