How to plot a line chart without aggregating
Good Day.
I am trying to make a project that models COVID-19.
I have the following data:
Where column 1 is text
- date is in the date format,
- columns from total_cases to total_recoveries are in a whole numbe format.
I am trying to create a line plot that observes each number from total_cases for the day that occured:
Please reference the sketch below (I plotted the first 4 rows)
When I try to do it on PowerBI, the plot just renders this
I tried to turn off summation by going to column tools tab and turning it off but I dont have much luck..
Can anyone help me out?

In your screen shot, it shows "Count of total cases by Year", it means the count of date which has case in the year 2020, 2021, 2022. So in your screen shot line chart there's only three value.
Just keep the Summarization of the total cases column Sum.
The Values should also be Sum.
The Axis should be date, not year.

In your screen shot, it shows "Count of total cases by Year", it means the count of date which has case in the year 2020, 2021, 2022. So in your screen shot line chart there's only three value.
Just keep the Summarization of the total cases column Sum.
The Values should also be Sum.
The Axis should be date, not year.

Anonymous Set your x-axis to be the date instead of the Date Hierarchy for starters. You do that in the field well of the Visualizations pane for the Axis. You might also want to use a Categorical axis instead of Continuous.
