Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community,
To achieve your requirement of grouping related columns with same colours to make the user easily distinguish in Power BI -- the steps suggested by ToddChitt are valid and can help achieve your needs.
Here is the illustration of the steps in Power BI Desktop.
1. Populate your table visual with columns and click on Format visual in the Visualisation pane . Here you can find 'Specific column' as shown below.2. Next select column to apply settings and enable Apply to header option if required, then select background or text colour according to your needs.
3. Choose light colours to make the values visible and distinguish clearly.

Super UserIf I understand correctly, you want to set the background color of two or more columns to be the same color. Other groups will have different colors.
You can do that in the Format menu of the table. Look for a setting called "Specific column", then select each column in turn and set the background color accordingly. Looks like you will also want to select the "Apply to header" option.
