How to create dynamic header over measures

Hello, any idea on the best way to create a header over multiple columns that are measures so that it's dynamic and adjusts to various screen sizes?

Also, separately, am having trouble renaming the columns that are measures to be unique when I have multiple identical column names under different headers.  for example the head would say "Current Year" and the fields below it are "Revenue" and "Cost".  But then I have another header that is "Last year" but with the same fields below (Revenue and Cost).  Since they're measures it's making me give them custom names like for Last year, the "Revenue" field has to say something like "Revenue LY" to differentiate it from the "Current Year" "Revenue" field.  I don't want that.  Any ideas how to address?  Thank you!

  • Hi shs777 ,

Depending on how you are doing this you can have a couple of options:

    • One measure for Revenue and Cost
      • Create a calculation group with the specific calculation for each one
      • Add that calculation group on the columns and the measures on the values
      • This will create a hierarchy directly
    • Several Measures for Revenue and Cost (CY, LY, ...)
      • Create a field parameter with all your measures
      • Add an additional column to the field parameters with the classification you need
      • Then add the classification column to the Columns in the matrix
      • Add the Field Parameter value to the values

Both this options work for making this setup. Can you please share if you have several measures for each of the categories or only one?
