How do I edit a "Direct Query" source meaning I need to edit the actual SQL code?
Hi everyone,
I'm using a Direct Query to connect to various tables. Each object shows up in my model as a separate query and I only have one data source - the SQL server against which each Direct Query is run. All screen shots provided in Microsoft documents are WRONG – there’s no such clickable button as “Query Editor” so I am at a loss here.
All posts so far relate to editing a data source, that is NOT what I need to do. I need to edit the query, not the data source. How do I do that?
If you go the report view you can right click on the query and see the 'Edit Query' option. This doesn't show up if you are in the model view (which makes no sense).

jdbuchanan71 Thank you - that kicks the elusive "Query Editor" and from there I can right-click on the source and edit the query. Thank you!
