Horizontal Slicers Width Discrepancy
Hi,
I'm trying to get my horizontal slicers formatted in the same way across all my reports, but a couple of them won't format the same way. I want the options in the slicer to be a single column of values, rather than displaying as two columns - this is how it appears on almost all of my reports:
The width is set to 209, but I can increase it up to 231 before they go into two columns.
On my problem reports, it looks like:
The left has a width of 188, and the right a width of 189.
Example of another:
The left has a width of 177, and the right 178.
I've got them all set as "Responsive" and the text is the same font and size in all of them. I've got the same page layout on all three reports (16:9) and the blue bar is in the same position on the page across all (X Pos 203). The columns filling in the slicer have all come from tables I've created through the "Enter Data" function, so are all categorized as Text.
Does anyone have a solution of how I can get them all to match the first? I've got over 20 reports that look like the first example and it just seems to be these 2 that aren't! I feel like it should be a simple solution, but can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Becky

hi, Anonymous
Do you mean that you want all the slicers in 20 reports have the same the width is "209",
but there are two slicers display as two columns?
If so, I'm afraid it couldn't keep the two slicers show as one column with the width is "209" for now, it depends on the MIN width of the character length of the field.
For your requirement, you could post your new idea in Power BI ideas and make this feature coming sooner .

Hi Lin,
Not quite, I'm saying I want the width of the slicer on all reports to be 209, and I want the measures to be in one column.
I don't want them in two columns on any of my report.
Can you explain what you mean about MIN width of the character length of the field? If you mean number of characters, the example that does go up to 209 has an option with the same number of characters as the second example, and fewer than the first.

Hoping someone might have a solution to this.
To clarify, I want to be able to make the slicer wider while still having the buttons in one column. I don't know why it works for some reports but doesn't work for others.
