Hide spesific Pages when Drillthrough

Hi Everyone, I have three pages named A,B &C. All of the tables has drillthrough option. For some condition, I want to hide Page C when I want to do drillthrough From Page B. So only Page A can be drillthrough into Page C.

p/s : both A & B has the same data in the drillthrough section in Page C

Thank you.

    Hi aimanhafez130

when managing multiple pages with similar conditions and drillthrough logic, duplicating measures for each scenario becomes difficult to scale and maintain. Unfortunately, Power BI doesn’t currently support conditional drillthrough visibility based on the source page or logic directly.

If tables A, B, and C don’t share common fields used for drillthrough, the drillthrough option won’t appear helping control where it’s available.

But if those fields are related across tables, Power BI will show the drillthrough option regardless of the source page.

    To manage this :

    • Use drillthrough fields only in visuals where needed.
    • Use unrelated tables or duplicate fields to limit drillthrough access.

    Hope this helps !!

Unfortunately, there is no built-in option in Power BI to conditionally show or hide specific drillthrough pages based on the source visual or logic.

Drillthrough works by detecting whether a visual includes a field (measure or column) that is used as a drillthrough filter on a page. If a visual contains that field, Power BI automatically enables the drillthrough option to the related page.

The only workaround is to create duplicate measures or fields. Then, you can control where the drillthrough option appears by using the copy instead of the original.

For example, suppose you have a measure called Total Sales which is used as a drillthrough filter for Page C. If you want visuals on Page A to allow drillthrough to Page C but block that option from visuals on Page B — you can create a duplicate measure like Total Sales (Copy) which just references the original one, and use this copy in visuals on Page B. Since the copied measure isn’t linked as a drillthrough filter, Page C won’t appear in the right-click menu from those visuals.

This approach lets you control drillthrough behavior without breaking your model logic.

thats a good idea but we cant do that if I have more than 5 pages with every one of it has same condition but with different pages.
