Getting data from google drive folder
Hi ahmedshalabyy12,
Thank you for reaching out to the Fabric Community. I am happy to assist you in resolving this issue.
Currently, Power BI does not support a native Google Drive connector.
However, you can use the Google Sheets connector to import data from your specific sheets and tabs.
Here are the outlined steps to achieve this:
1) Open Power BI Desktop > Get Data > Google Sheets.
2) Select the Google Sheets option; you will be prompted to enter the URL of the spreadsheet you wish to connect.
Note: Upon clicking "Connect," a prompt will appear. Please click Continue to proceed.
3) You will be prompted to sign in with your Google account; please log in using the account associated with the spreadsheet.
4) After sucessfull signin it will ask you to pick up the tab/table from your sheet. you can then load them or transform data using the button below and start creating your dashboard/report.
If you find this response helpful, kindly consider marking it as the accepted solution and giving it a kudos. This helps others facing similar issues and is greatly appreciated.
Hi ahmedshalabyy12 , Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
Connect to the Google Sheet itself, not the Drive, using the Google Sheets connector and provide the file’s URL. Once connected, Power Query will automatically list all the tabs in that sheet and you can simply select the specific tab you need. If you’re planning to scale or automate this, I suggest you to publish the required tab as a CSV from Google Sheets and use the Web connector instead, which tends to be more stable than relying on the Sheets connector.
