Getting correct total amount from DAX syntax from sumx() call
Hello,
I have a little toy problem I put together for my actual problem. The data you can use is the below:
| Food | Importance | Weight |
| 120 | 100 | 2000 |
| 80 | 95 | 3000 |
| 50 | 86 | 4000 |
*In addition to this you will need a simple slider which will determine the cut off.
I want to create a combined measure for Food as follow:
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi GreyMerchant ,
The calculated logic of total value of [Combined Measure Food] measure works like what I explained in this post. Please refer.
You can try the measure as follows. Make sure replace Table with the actual name of your table.
New measure = SUMX(Table,[Combined Measure Food])This may give the same values in the rows, but the correct sum in total.
Best regards
Icey

GreyMerchant - This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:

Greg_Deckler, thanks for the reply. I saw your posts earlier when I was googling for an answer. I didn't find a quick and easy way to get it to work hence me posting a reproducible problem to get help.
