Filter visualization table after selecting row in first visualization table, same source table.

We have 1 source table containing products on a certain location (stock in a warehouse). But in the vizualisation we have 2 tables.

 

This is the main visualization table:

  • Available quantity;Product number;Location name
    • 1000;1234;Hall 10
    • 2000;1234;Hall 5
    • 1000;1111;Hall 10
    • 1000;1111;Hall 3
    • 500;1234;Hall 4
    • 6000;5555;Hall 10
    • etc.

This is the second visualization table. When I select a row in the main table, I want to have the second visualization table filtered based on the Product number, this should result in the following visualization table:

  • Available quantity;Product number;Location name
    • 1000;1234;Hall 10
    • 2000;1234;Hall 5
    • 500;1234;Hall 4

So people directly get an overview where to find the same product in another location.

 

For other source tables it is easy to do, because we simply create a relationship and filtering direction. But for the same table I cannot figure out the right way.

 

Note: The data is loaded via a live AAS connection.

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    According to your statement, I think the data in two table visuals should come from the same table. As far as I know, if they from same table, the second table will be filter by relationship and context.

    For example, if you select row Available quantity = 1000/Product number=1234/Location name = Hall 10 in visual one, the second visual will be filtered by these three conditions due to relationship and context.

    Sometimes we will duplicate the data table (unrelated table) and create a measure to filter second table. However, you use live connection mode to get data from AAS. So this workaround is not support.

    Here I suggest you to try to turn off the interaction from visual one and then create a slicer to filter second visual.
