FILTER A CLOCK

I need to set up a filter where I can filter between times, but I'm not succeeding, I tried to set up the hours in a format similar to a calendar, but to no avail, I need a guide to start with.

  • Hi Gabriellogs,

Setting up a time filter can be a bit tricky, but I can guide you through it! Here’s a step-by-step approach to create a time filter in Power BI:

    1. Add a Time Column:

      • Ensure your dataset has a column with time values. If not, you might need to create one.
    2. Create a Slicer:

      • Drag the time column to the canvas.
      • Select the Slicer visualization type.
    3. Format the Slicer:

      • Click on the slicer to select it.
      • In the Format pane, under Visual > Slicer settings > Options, change the Style to Relative Time.
    4. Set the Time Range:

      • In the slicer, you can specify the time window using a whole number and a unit of time (e.g., minutes, hours).
    5. Apply the Filter:

      • Drag the time field to the Filters pane, and set it as a filter on the visual, page, or report level.

Here’s a more detailed guide from Microsoft on creating relative time slicers and filters in Power BI.

Please let me know if this help you, if yes, please accept as solution and give a Kudo.

    thank you

  • Hello Gabriellogs ,

Assume that you have date/time column, you need to extract as hour in Power Query or Dax. After that create a slicer and put your hour column. İn visualization pane make slicer setting style "Between". But if you'd like to see as a calendar between slicer, the column needs to be date or date/time. Even it date/time column, it will be shown as a date format in slicer.

    Kind Regards,

Please share a simplified version of your PBIX file (in English) without sensitive data. You can upload it to a public cloud service like OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox and share the link. This will help in understanding your data structure and the issue, allowing for more precise guidance.
