Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: - Solution required
Hi All,
I am working on a project where the calculations are complex and data is huge.
Data upload is in the way of csv upload through folder and there are multiple metrics and kpi. For each metric there is different folder upload through csv and powerbi dashboard has been built accordingly.
I have used DAX for calculations and so on for volume and SLA calculations.
however, the challenge is when i refresh powerbi every morning when i finish uploading the rawdata (csv) for each of the metric in the respective folder, the report gets error at last. The error is as below:
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'There's not enough memory to complete this operation. Please try again later when there may be more memory available. '.
Can anyone please guide how to fix this error. I have tried almost all solutions which seems to shown when i google it but without success.

Failed to save changes to the server. Error returned: 'Out of memory...' Indicates that the operation you attempted to perform exceeded the available memory resources.
If you're using Power BI Pro, consider moving to Power BI Premium or Premium Per User (PPU) for higher memory limits.
The memory limit is determined by the SKU of the Premium capacity.
If your dataset is divided across multiple CSV files and folders, consider refreshing them in segments rather than all at once. This approach can help manage memory usage more effectively.

If you're using Power BI Pro or Premium, you can take advantage of the Incremental Refresh feature.
This allows you to refresh only the data that has changed or been added since the last refresh, rather than the entire dataset.
Understand and optimize dataflows refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
For a more automated approach, you can use the Power BI REST API to programmatically refresh segments of your dataset.
Enhanced refresh with the Power BI REST API - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
If Incremental Refresh is not an option, you can consider refreshing specific tables manually.

after reducing the data size was able to refresh the powerbi. closing this as temporary solution. but we need to find a way to have this error sorted in case of large data.

Have a clarification on below suggestion by you:

"consider refreshing them in segments rather than all at once" - How this needs to be done? is this needs to be done manually refresh table by table? please advise?
