Failed to save modifications to the server error.

Hi,

when I apply new query setting, got this error from all of data tables.

is this issue from connection or data value error?

  • Hi Anonymous,

The error here that is your data contain #N/A values

    Do this solutions:

    • Replace it with null (for blank values)
    • in Power query you can add this step to handle the error
    = Table.ReplaceErrorValues(YourPreviousStep, {{"Contract date", null}, {"PAC submitted date", null}, {"Etax date", null}})

    • Make sure that is your data types is probably fine.
If this post helps, then I would appreciate a thumbs up and mark it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

  • Your Excel file source contains invalid data. Clean that up first, or include a "Replace errors" step in your Power Query.

  • Hi Anonymous

This error means that in your Excel source there are formulas returning errors, for example a VLOOKUP that does not find a match and gives #N/A.
Power BI cannot handle those error values and therefore fails to load the data.

    Best ways to fix it:

    1. Fix in the source (recommended): wrap your formulas with IFERROR (or similar) so they don’t return #N/A.

    2. In Power Query:

      • Remove rows with errors (you will lose those records).

      • Or use Replace Errors and substitute them with a valid value that matches the column’s data type (for example, a default date or blank text).
