"Enter Data" import from file
So one of the most useful and commonly used features of Power BI is "Enter Data". But I must hand-type this data in, and the interface is clunky and dumb. Is there a way to import the data from a text or csv file into this extremely useful PBI feature?
If I try to link to a file on my computer, or SharePoint, I'm left with a link that either becomes lost, broken, or tanks my data gateway. What is the solution?

If you have data in Excel, you can copy/paste that data into the Create Table dialog box, although there is a limit to the number of rows and columns it accepts. Sorry not sure off the top of my head what that is.
Alternatively you can use the DAX Table constructor

Or create the table in Power Query usnig #table

PhilipTreacy Thanks for the reply. The copy-paste from Excel is as good as it gets. DAX Table function is a complete drift from "quick & easy", and is more of another DAX rabbit hole.
