Empty date fields defaulting to today's date

Hi All

I have some reports which pull from a sharepoint site. For projects which do not yet have a GA date, we leave this date field blank in the sharepoint site. However; when we pull this data into PowerBi, any blank date fields with default to today's date, which is obviously very misleading.

Is there a way I can get this to show up as NULL or blank?

    how are you pulling the data from sharepoint.  It seems strange that it just giving it a default today value in power bi, that value must be coming from sharepoint or someone must have changed it in the code, power bi wont assign values unless its present or you change it in the transform?  can you share your code  and can you see the data in sharepoint?

      Hi Venessafvg,

       

      The field in the sharepoint site look as per below. It is the CourseGA which is causing issue. The data is just connected via the Get data > Online Sharepoint list - and otherwise synching perfectly. Seems very strange!

    Everything works fine on my side.

     

    Did you use DateTimeZone.ToLocal() type?

     

    Please check if there are some transfrom operations. You could see all steps in Applied Steps:

    In addition, please upgrade the Power BI Desktop to the latest version and have a try again.
