Dynamic Slicer

Hi, is there a way to create a dynamic slicer?

 

Basically I have a data table that has Manager in it as one of the columns. I have a 'table' that I have created that shows the results filtered on a particular type of product and some other criteria in my Power BI desktop, so my table only shows some of the Managers.

 

I want to slice the data by Manager, but the slicer pulls through all of the Managers in my original table, but I only want it to show the Managers that are in my created table (much smaller number of managers), but it needs to be dynamic in the sense that if a new manager appears in my created table as they meet the criteria then the slicer also shows this new Manager and also if there are no examples of a particular Manager at some point in the future then they will then not show in the slicer.

 

Is this possible? Thanks!!

      Hi v-yulgu-msft , not sure I'm getting it.

       

      I have a table based on certain criteria:

       

       

      with data in it and an empty slicer visual:

       

       

      If I pull in Case Manager from the original raw data into the slicer then I get all Case Managers, but I just want the Case Managers that are in the above table, which will be a subset of all the Case Managers. This subset will change, so I can't just select the ones it is now, might be completely different this time next month. Basically I just need to filter on Case Manager.

       

      I can't drag anything from that above table to the slicer? What am I doing wrong? Sorry fairly new to Power BI.
