Drill down slicer
Hi guys,
I have request from client to create a slicer with a drill down same as below:
How can I apply it in Power BI desktop?
If there is only empty field in a hirarchy, then removing empty will make the top category disappear.
If you want both of them, then create 2 separate slicer. One for type and other for category.
Also, you can rename all the empty to unknow or other status.

Hi AsNa_92 As I can understand, that you want Hierarchy Slicer. See image below:
If this is the case, the you can create hirarchy or simply place both the column in field section. To create hirarchy, first click on 3 dots in column name and click create hirarcy. Then add other column to the new created hirarchy. For my case, Type hirarchy. See image below:
Now just place it in slicer field.

Shahariar HafizIf all the sub category is blank, then removing blank will make the whole category dissapear. But if you have mixed like blank and subcategory, then remove blank will make only blank dissapear. See example below:
In my data set, Type 2 has one blank category. Then the slicer would be:
Now we can hide only blank by showing item with not blank. See image below:
See empty field dissappear. If you have all field or sub category field empty, then the main category will dissappear because of relationship, other wise you have to create 2 seperate slicer.

I think you can achieve this with existing slicer like below :
Add the columns in the slicer and it will give you + sign to drill down. Just make sure the columns have the relationship associated with each other.
Else you can create a custom hierarchy and the use that in the slicer like below :Please accept it as the solution if this suffice your requirement else provide more details about your problem.

AnkitaThanks for replying, however the second option (Type B) show drilldown with blank which I don't want.
is there a solution to remove it?
