Drill Down on two visuals

Hi,

 

I am looking to use a drill down on two visuals that use the same heiarchy (Levels 1, 2, and 3). Visual 1 has Level 1 and 2, whereas Visual 2 has Levels 2 and 3. I was hoping to be able to drill down on Visual 1 and have Visual 2 drill down to the next level as well.

 

My first attempt was to have a DAX column for Visual 2 (IF Visual 1 has a drill down, then Level 3, else Level 2). The problem with this approach is that I am not sure if there is a way for DAX to recognize the drill down on a visual. 

 

Any help on this would be appreciated and thank you in advance!
