Difference between grand total and rows total

Hi,

Can you, please, help me with an solution for the issue I am encountering? Basically for the same ID (which is the key between my tables) and opportunities the grand total is doing a distinct sum and I want to return the overall value, for all employees.

Many thanks in advance for your support.

    Hi  gstefan,

Based on your data sample, I have a little confused about the Grand total of excel. Where is the data about Excel in the sample?

Basically for the same ID (which is the key between my tables) and opportunities the grand total is doing a distinct sum and I want to return the overall value, for all employees.

By my calculate, all of amount of Power BI should be 158560.16. What result do you want to get?

Could you describe your problem in more details?

    Best Regards,

    Cherry

      Hi,

Power BI shows a grand total of 135560.16 and not 158560.16..the last one I want to be returned.

      Thank you

        Hi gstefan,

Do you mean that the total of Amount of Power BI in this data sample is 135560.16 in your Power BI?

If it is, by my test with your data, the grand total shows 158560.16 in my side like below.

If you still have the issue, please share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that I could test on it in my side? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

If I misunderstand your issue, could you share a screenshot to specify your scenario?

        Best Regards,

        Cherry
