Default Format for Measures

When creating new measures, the format always defaults to General.  In almost all of my reports, most of my measures need to be whole numbers with a comma.  Is there any way to change the default to something other than General so every new measure created would automatically have the new default?

Currently Power BI doesn't support to change the default format for new measures. You can try Tabular Editor to change the format of multiple measures in batch.

    1. After installing Tabular Editor, you can find it below External Tools tab in Power BI Desktop.

    2. Open Tabular Editor, hold click on Ctrl Key and select all the measures you want to format. In Properties list, select Format String property and input the expected format here.

    3. Finally click File > Save to apply the change to the model.

Use custom format strings in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
