DAX - SUM

Hi Team,

I have a column with both numbers & Text. Is there a way to sum only numeric values in that column using a single measure?

Eg:

I have a table like shown below. I need a measure to show the sum of total events as 12(by adding 7 & 5 in cnt column).

    Hi AmudhaKumaran ,

     

    Please create a calculated column to check only for numeric data as below

    check text/num = IFERROR ( VALUE ( 'Table (2)'[Total] ), 0 )
     

     

    Thereafter create a measure to sum the column

      Hi Anonymous ,

       

      Thanks for yor response. What you suggested would absolutely work for a standalone dataset. However, I'm using a data model that is in datalake and I don't manage it. Means, I cannot create columns. I can only create measures withing my report. 

      So that's why I'm trying to figure out my issue using a measure.
