Solution SupplierDate range for academic year
Hi all,
I have a a table full of learners and their exam results. This table also contains a completed date column. An academic year starts on the 1st of August and finishes on the 31st of July.
When a user selects a learner from a filter they will be able to see a comparion of how the learner did in the exam against their class and their school. Now, I also need to add 2 more graphs. 1 to compare against all of the exams results in the 1st half of the year (1st of Aug - 31st of Dec) and another for the 2nd half of the year (1st Jan - 31st July), this data can also be historical so it can be from any year after 2018.
Would anyone be able to help with getting both date ranges for each bar chart, based on the learner selected (which will give the year they completed their exam using a year column).
An example of the above would be if I selected Bob Ross and he completed his exam in 2020. My first bar chart would show all of the data from Aug 1st 2020 - Dec 31st 2020, and my second bar chart would show all of the data from Jan 1st 2021 - July 31st 2021.

Apologies for the delay in responding I was caught up in another project. amitchandak I didn't manage to get it working fully with your approach but there were some definite signs of progress so thank you for that. I actually managed to resolve the issue with a SQL View.
