Date language problem

Hello!

I have a problem with my date language,

I have set all my regional settings to English (US) in Power BI as well as my regional settings in my pc.

I have tried to create a new Date table in en-US format but the datehierchy on my table is still in Swedish.

I have tried to chose a language in the modelling tab > language but only "English" is available to chose.

I see that in Model view > Model > Cultures the language code is "sv_SE" which is weird and I can't find a way to change it or if it is the reason that my "Date hierchy" is Swedish rather than English.

All of my date tables in every Dim or Fact table is in swedish for some reason.

  • Go to File > Options and settings > Options.
Under the Regional Settings section, check that Language for User Interface and Regional Settings are set to English (United States).
    Save your Power BI file.
Close Power BI and reopen it to ensure all settings take effect.

If this helped, a Kudos πŸ‘ or Solution mark would be great! πŸŽ‰
    Cheers,
    Kedar

      Hello!

I already set all the languages in Regional settings to english before I made the post and it didn't change anything regarding the Date Hierchys.

    Hi thisguyjc ,

The language used by the datehierchy in your table is determined by the language used by the data model when you first connect to it. That is to say, if the language of the model is Swedish when you first connect to it, then the datehierchy will be in Swedish. Maybe you can't change it now.
