Date Issues

I have a dataset in a SharePoint List.

When i make a PowerBI report ii pull in the data no problem.  I set a data refresh schedule.

I have a couple of filters that look at the date field.  however when the data set refreshes the filter breaks and my reports are useless.  It is almost like it defaults to a different date range.  how can i stop this from happening.

    Hi,

I managed to resolve this issue.  The data set was a sharepoint list that had a date field. I dragged the field along with a couple of other fields into a report and i noticed the dates were all in correct. I checked in the dataset under model that the date format was selected for the collumn and it was.  locally the report work absolutley fine.  When it was published the date format either changed to non uk time or dates were showing for months where data was not present which was confusing.

What I found out is that when i opened the query editor in the Power BI Desktop for the report in question and viewed the view the date collums was still showing as text even though the data set was showing as a date under the model tab.  By modifying the type to date for the specific collumn in the Query Editor and then publishing the report everything functions as it should and my reports function as they should.

    Hi Wecks,

    1. What are these filters? Are they slicers? Or used in the connection?

    2. What is it "the filter breaks"?

    3. Can you please share some snapshots?

    Best Regards,
