Do you connect to SQL Server database in Power BI Desktop? Could you please post the full error message for us to analyze?

Hi Pratima,
Please go to Query Editor to check if you have any steps that change from original data types, remove these steps and see if&nbsp; the error goes away. You can take a look at the following similar thread to get details.

Hi&nbsp;Pratima,
Add Value() function in your SWITCH dax formula to convert your text string to number.
If the issue still occurs, please help to share PBIX file and original Excel file.
