Data point table greyed out when connecting to SQL server

I have a Power BI sheet connected to an Azure SQL server to obtain a number of data, which is analyzed in a table and figures.

When I choose a set of data from the table or the figures and try to select " Data point table", it's greyed out. So basically I cannot know anything about the real data analyzed away from the total figures of each category.

Is there any way to do so? Thanks!

  • Hi, Nasermo

If the Data point table button in the ribbon is disabled and grayed-out, it means the selected visual does not support Data point table.

Note: Data point table has the following limitations:

    • You can't change the data in the Data point table view and save it back to the report.
    • You can't use Data point table when your visual uses a calculated measure in a (multidimensional) measure group.
    • You can't use Data point table when you are connected to a live multidimensional (MD) model.
    • You can't export the Data point table view to PDF or static PowerPoint.
