Data Load Q & A Cache Options
Hi there
My desktop is running very slow with CPU hovering around 100% whenever I try and make a change to a particular report im building. I've noticed the following in Options > Data Load
Data Cache Management Options
Currently Used 2.41GB
It says max allowed 4096MB
Q&A Cache Options
Currently used 1.51 GB
Maximum allowed 4096MB
My question is if I was to clear the cache, would it cause any issues with my report, visuals, lose data etc and would it potentially resolve the issue of lagging, slow rendering etc.
Any help would really be appreciated

Clearing the cache will not affect the use of your report. You can try to clear the cache to speed up you report.
Also you can refer to the following document for optimization:
Optimization guide for Power BI
Tips: If you are not worried about clearing the cache, you can copy a pbix as a backup.
