Dashboard embedded in model-driven app - migrating through dev/uat/prod

Hi,

I've seen a few posts asking how to migrate reports through different solutions but they were a few years old so figured I'd ask again.

I have reports that are embedded in an mda, but when we are migrating from dev to uat (managed solution) i realized i wont be able to update the dashboards since we cant edit managed solutions.

Also checked the deployment pipeline feature on pbi service but that needs a prem capacity licensing.

Any suggestions/ideas on how to move forward with this?

    Hi Anonymous ,

Migrating between different environments requires a production environment and a test environment, such as your dev and uat.

If you have an existing test environment you can go to the next step. However, we recommend that you make a copy of your production environment to use as the test environment.

Export the unmanaged solution(s) from your development environment as managed.

The following official link will give you advise:

Move from unmanaged to managed solutions to support healthy ALM with Power Apps - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
